I love that in Europe, I can take day trips to other countries. Yesterday, I went to Brugges, Belgium. . . home of fancy lace, chocolate, and beer. It is also called the Venice of the North due to the river that meanders through and around it. The town was built in the Middle Ages and retains much of its character from that time.
