Day Three: The Seine and Marais

The morning started with a boat tour on the Seine. I got my first (and second, third, and fourth) views of the Eiffel Tower, as well as many other buildings. Afterward, I walked home and only got a little lost. I had lunch at a sidewalk cafe and watched the people walk by as I ate.

This afternoon, I had my first ride on the Paris metro. Sina, Ruby and I walked through the Marais neighborhood which includes the beautiful Place de Vosges (where the rain poured on our heads until we ran under the arcades, the Carnavalet Museum (where we got a very quick overview of French history while Ruby ran excitedly through pausing only to wave to her fans), and the Old Jewish Quarter.

I would love to post some pics. I was assured by Sina that her adapter worked for all but one camera she's ever tried so I didn't bring all of my connecting cords/ dock/ etc. Turns out, there are two that it doesn't fit. We're hoping we can do it with Sina's somewhat broken camera, but have to find batteries first. Any idea how to say battery in French? Or where to buy them? There's no Wal-Mart here you know. :)

I wish you were here with us too!
