Geocaching

My friend Chris has been promising to take me geocaching for quite some time now. . . Our schedules finally worked out today so we went. Our first stop (and my first cache ever) was in Hidden Hollow in Sugarhouse. I found the place (with some hints from Chris) and John stuck his hand back in the dark, potentially spider infested crevice to get the cache.

The next stop was a corner where we had to stand and wait for a webcam to take a picture of us. We got a lot of funny looks from the passing traffic.

The next stop was at the U of U campus. We had a bunch of photos where we had to find their locations and GPS coordinates. After that, we had to use the numbers we found to find coordinates for a final cache location. There were 2 sets of photos . . . the easy set and the hard set. The hard set turned out to be easier to complete. The so-called easy one had us running all over campus trying to find this statue. The campus was mostly deserted but we did find some skateboarders and frisbee golfers to ask. They didn't know either. We finally found it around 11:30 pm with a little help from Google. Anyone know where it is?

After all the searching for picture places, we found the final prize for the supposedly hard one, but couldn't find the supposedly easy one.

Not wanting to end the evening with a failure, we decided to go for one more cache. On the way there, it started to rain. Then it started to pour. Then it rained even harder. . .

We went for it anyway and found it.
